Victoria Réaume, B.A., LL.B., was appointed as General Secretary to the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO) in September of 2013. In 2012, Ms. Réaume was made a Fellow of the Ontario Teacher's Federation for her service to education, commitment to social justice and for enhancing the image of women in the field of education. She is the co-author of Education Labour and Employment Law in Ontario, Second Edition (Canada Law Book). Formerly a partner at the union side law firm Cavalluzzo where her practice focused on education law, collective bargaining and administrative law including pay equity and human rights, Ms Reaume is now the chief administrative officer of ETFO, a social justice union representing 76,000 educators working in the elementary panel of publicly funded schools in Ontario.
Sheilagh Turkington, B.A., M.A., LL.B., is a partner at Cavalluzzo Hayes Shilton McIntyre & Cornish LLP. She practises labour and employment law in the administrative and civil context, with particular focus on education, disability, equality and benefits issues. Ms. Turkington advocates on behalf of trade unions, professional associations, and individuals in matters relating to professional regulation, labour arbitration, employment and insurance benefits, collective bargaining, human rights and civil law. She is the co-author of Education Labour and Employment Law in Ontario, Second Edition (Canada Law Book).
